Zoho Books e-invoicing in the UAE: what Zoho does and what is left for you

Karim Chamaa, Implemnt · October 2026 · 6 min read
Quick answer Zoho is itself an accredited e-invoicing service provider: Zoho Software Trading LLC is on the Ministry of Finance list with accreditation number 121988. Zoho says Zoho Books generates the PINT AE file and sends it over Peppol, and you select Zoho as your provider in the FTA's EmaraTax portal. So most Zoho Books users do not need a separate provider. What Zoho cannot do is send data that never reached Zoho Books.

If your invoices already come out of Zoho Books, UAE e-invoicing is mostly a settings job and a data job. This page covers what Zoho says it does, read from Zoho's own UAE pages on 19 October 2026, and where the work is left over.

Is Zoho Books an accredited e-invoicing provider in the UAE?

Yes. Zoho Software Trading LLC appears on the Ministry of Finance list of accredited service providers with accreditation number 121988 (page last updated 18 October 2026). Our searchable copy of the list shows it with the other 66 accredited providers.

The Zoho Books UAE e-invoicing page states that Zoho Books generates e-invoices in the PINT-AE XML format and sends them through Peppol's five-corner model directly from Zoho Books. It also says you do not need a different provider if you already use Zoho Books.

How do you switch on e-invoicing in Zoho Books?

As Zoho describes it, in this order:

What does it cost?

Zoho's UAE page says the first 100 e-invoicing transactions are free on the Professional plan and above, and that further transactions are sold in non-recurring packs starting at AED 41 for 100. Check your own plan before you count on the free allowance.

What does Zoho Books not fix?

Zoho checks each invoice before sending it. If a required field is missing, the invoice is marked Failed and the error shows on the transaction. That check only helps if the data exists. The gaps we see most often in UAE businesses are upstream of Zoho:

Our readiness checklist walks one real invoice through those fields.

When does a Zoho Books business need more than Zoho?

When invoices are created outside Zoho Books and copied in. A POS, a booking system, a field-service app or a spreadsheet that feeds Zoho by hand is where the 14-day sending clock and the mandatory fields get missed. The fix is to connect that system to Zoho so each sale becomes a complete Zoho invoice without anyone retyping it, with rejected invoices landing on a named person's screen. That is the part we build. We are not an ASP and do not transmit invoices; Zoho does.

The deadlines are the same whatever software you run: businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more appoint a provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027; everyone else appoints by 31 March 2027 and goes live on 1 July 2027. Our deadlines page has every date with its Ministry of Finance source.
