Point of Rental vs the Implemnt rental package: which fits a UAE rental business?

Quick answer Point of Rental is US rental management software, sold as two products, Elite and Essentials, for equipment, event, tool, party and specialty rental. Its pricing page shows no prices: you request a quote, priced on fleet size, locations and features, and every plan comes with at least 2 users. Our rental package is AED 2,000 setup, then AED 1,250 a month with a 12-month minimum and no per-user fees: we set it up around how your counter works, connect it to the accounting software you already use, host it, train your staff and make up to 10 hours of changes a month.

Point of Rental is built for rental yards that deliver, service and track a large fleet across branches. The rental package is built for the counter: walk-ins, the clock on every asset, waivers, payments and the end-of-day count, at one published monthly price.

What Point of Rental does well

Point of Rental pricing and features vs the rental package

Point of Rental details are from its own site, read on 13 October 2026. It is a US company and its site publishes no prices, so we show no AED figure for it and no currency conversion was needed. Products and terms change, so check theirs before you decide.

Which one should you pick?

What the rental package includes

Not included: the prices of third-party software you already use or choose, such as your accounting software, wallet cards and WhatsApp. We connect to them; their own fees are paid to them directly.

Ready for UAE e-invoicing

UAE e-invoicing reaches most businesses in 2027: appoint an accredited service provider (ASP) by 31 March 2027, then send invoices through it from 1 July 2027. We connect your invoicing to the ASP you choose, so every invoice the counter makes reaches it without retyping, and the ASP sends it in the PINT AE format over the Peppol network. We are the integrator, not an ASP, and the provider's own fees are paid to them. See the list of accredited service providers and our UAE e-invoicing guide.

What does the rental package cost?

AED 2,000 setup, then AED 1,250 a month, with a 12-month minimum and no per-user fees. That covers hosting, updates, support and up to 10 hours of changes every month. A larger operation, with many locations or a big fleet, is priced on its size after the free call.

Common questions

Point of Rental pricing is not published on its site. Its pricing page asks you to request a quote, and its product pages say the price depends on fleet size, number of locations and the features you need. Every plan comes with at least 2 users, and more can be added. Its FAQ says implementation support and training are included and add-ons are discussed up front. We give no AED figure because there is no public price to convert.

Yes. It has been in rental since 1982 and says it serves more than 5,000 rental businesses in over 80 countries. It covers contracts, delivery and dispatch, maintenance, inspections, online stores and hundreds of reports, with 24/7 support. For a large equipment or event rental business with trucks and branches, it is a strong choice.

The rental package is built around the walk-in counter: live time and price on every asset out, waiver and ID on the customer's own phone, and one monthly price with no per-user fees. Point of Rental Essentials also serves bike and recreational counters, with a kiosk that scans a driving licence. Its price is quoted on request, so compare that quote with our AED 17,000 for year one.

Yes. As part of setup we bring your assets, prices and customer list across, then train your staff on site before you switch.

Anything your counter needs after go-live: a new price rule, a new exception, a report, a field on the sign-up form. Up to 10 hours a month is included. If a month needs more, we quote the extra before we start.

Yes. We connect the rental package to the invoicing or accounting software you already use, so every payment lands there and your accountant keeps working where they are. That software stays on your own plan.

Yes. We connect it to the accredited service provider (ASP) you appoint, so your invoices reach the UAE e-invoicing system without retyping. Most businesses must appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027. We are the integrator, not the ASP, and the ASP's own fees are paid to them.

Yes, a 12-month minimum. Setup is AED 2,000, then AED 1,250 a month. A larger operation, with many locations or a big fleet, is priced on its size, and we tell you the number after the free call.
