Checkfront vs the Implemnt rental package: which fits a UAE rental business?
Checkfront's bill grows with what you sell online: 3% of every online booking. The rental package is one monthly price for the shop, whatever you sell, and it is built for the counter: walk-ins, the clock on every asset, waivers, payments and the end-of-day count.
What Checkfront does well
From Checkfront's own site, this is what it does well:
- Daily, multi-day, timeslot and flexible-time bookings for tours, activities, rentals and accommodation.
- A real-time availability calendar and automated resource management that tracks vehicles, equipment and rooms, with seasonal pricing, deposits and pay-later.
- Digital waivers built in at no extra fee, no setup fee, and no Checkfront fee on offline, travel-site or API bookings.
- Payments through its own processor, Stripe, Square and PayPal, and channels to GetYourGuide, Viator, Expedia and Tripadvisor.
- QuickBooks Online and Xero, Zapier, and iOS and Android apps to manage bookings and check-ins.

Which one should you pick?
- Pick Checkfront if most bookings are made online ahead of time, you sell tours, activities or stays as well as rentals, and your online sales are small enough that 3% stays low.
- Pick the rental package if most customers walk up to your counter and rent by the hour or the day, a team runs that counter, and you want one monthly price with no fee on any booking.
What the rental package includes
- Timed rentals with live time and price on the counter computer, a tablet and staff phones.
- Waiver and ID at sign-up, done by the customer on their own phone, in English and Arabic.
- A connection to the invoicing or accounting software you already use.
- A loyalty card in the customer's phone wallet, and win-back offers to customers who stop coming.
- Daily, weekly and monthly owner reports.
- User permissions and activity logs.
- Hosting, updates, support and up to 10 hours of changes a month.
Not included: the prices of third-party software you already use or choose, such as your accounting software, wallet cards and WhatsApp. We connect to them; their own fees are paid to them directly.
Ready for UAE e-invoicing
UAE e-invoicing reaches most businesses in 2027: appoint an accredited service provider (ASP) by 31 March 2027, then send invoices through it from 1 July 2027. We connect your invoicing to the ASP you choose, so every invoice the counter makes reaches it without retyping, and the ASP sends it in the PINT AE format over the Peppol network. We are the integrator, not an ASP, and the provider's own fees are paid to them. See the list of accredited service providers and our UAE e-invoicing guide.
What does the rental package cost?
AED 2,000 setup, then AED 1,250 a month, with a 12-month minimum and no per-user fees. That covers hosting, updates, support and up to 10 hours of changes every month. A larger operation, with many locations or a big fleet, is priced on its size after the free call.
